KPEL reported earlier this month about a cell phone theft from a convenience store, and now Lafayette Parish Sheriff's officials say they have arrested a suspect in the case.

Sheriff's deputies have arrested Reis Stelly after getting a tip.

Detectives say Stelly was allegedly the man seen wearing a "got boudin" sleeveless shirt who picked up the phone from the counter and left store.

The woman left her cell phone on that convenience store counter on July 8.

Stelly was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center for a felony theft count.
