Detectives Make Unexpected Drug Arrest

Detectives in Evangline Parish looking for a suspect ended up making an arrest in a completely unrelated matter. Sheriff Eddie Soileau says officers with the Criminal Investigations Division witnessed a drug transaction while working on another case. Lee Randell Larnette of Ville Platte was arrested for simple possession of cocaine. The second person, Jerome Fontenot, fled the scene. He has outstanding probation warrants.
