GENEVA (AP) — Diplomats from Ukraine, Russia, the U.S., and the European Union meet today in Geneva to discuss the crisis in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, the U.S. is getting ready to issue more sanctions against Russia, whom the U.S. blames for stirring unrest in eastern Ukraine.

Pro-Russia militants in at least nine cities in the region have taken over government buildings.

Ukrainian troops repelled an attack by militants in the city of Mariupol today.
