District Judge Reverses LHA Removal Decision

A State District Judge holding City-Parish President Joey Durel in contempt. This comes after Judge Edward D. Rubin reversed the November 19, 2010, decision to remove three members from the Lafayette Housing Authority. Those removals had been upheld by the City-Parish Council earlier this year in March. City-Parish Attorney Michael Hebert says the Durel administration is disappointed and strongly disagrees with the ruling. He says, though, they understand this is part of the judicial process.
