Domestic Violence Shooting In Lawtell

St. Landry Parish Sheriff's deputies have arrested Bernard Tezeno after they believe he shot the man he is in a relationship with over drugs.

When police got to the scene they found Lance Thibodeaux had four gunshot wounds, and Tezeno told them often his relationship with Thibodeaux involved abuse.

To quote investigators, Tezeno said when their fight was over he got a gun to "show Thibodeaux he meant business".

Tezeno allegedly shot at Thibodeaux several times, even when Thibodeaux was running away, and he allegedly told police he didn't feel bad about it saying, "if we would have died, he would have died."

Tezeno was booked on charges of attempted second degree murder and felon in possession of a firearm.
