Don Bertrand Reappointed To National Public Power Council
Lafayette City-Parish District 7 Councilman Don Bertrand of Lafayette Public Utilities Authority has been named to a second three-year term on the American Public Power Association's Policy Makers Council by APPA's Board of Directors.
Bertrand has long been active in those affairs affecting LUS, including LUS Fiber, which has been a long-time member of APPA. LUS and LUS Fiber have a combined annual budget of over $270 million which provides electric, water, waste water, cable television, telephone and internet services in the City of Lafayette.
The Council is made up of 40 members who serve on either utility boards or are elected officials in public power communities.
