Last week, Hillary Clinton's campaign announced the opening of two new offices in New Orleans and Baton Rouge. This week, Donald Trump's campaign announces he'll be be opening a campaign office in Lafayette.

The group Hillary for Louisiana says in a press release that more than 200 volunteers and supporters came out for the former First Lady, canvassing neighborhoods and making calls for her. Also, the Landrieu family - New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu, former U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu, and former New Orleans Mayor Moon Landrieu - all endorsed the Democratic frontrunner.

Now, with early voting underway for the Louisiana presidential preference primary on March 5, the Trump campaign says the Republican frontrunner will open his office later in the week on Doucet Road across from Red's, according to our news partners at KATC.

Also, Clinton's rival U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders, has already opened his Louisiana headquarters in Metairie, according to nola.com. That announcement was made at the end of January of 2016.
