Donating Kidney – Gets Her Fired

Debbie Stevens donated a kidney that saved the life of her boss and claims she was berated for her medical problems and eventually fired.  Employment Attorney Eric Scott joined "Mornings With Ken & Bernie" today and said "there may be more to this case than first reported".

According to Scott, Stevens was not a physical match to donate her kidney to Jackie Brucia so she donated her kidney to a group to move Brucia up the list to receive a kidney.  Stevens claims she had complications from the surgery including nerve damage to her right leg as well as gastro-intestinal problems.  Due to the medical complications Stevens felt she was berated at work for excessive time-off and eventually fired.

Attorney Scott said if Stevens can prove her claims she will be compensated financially.

Since Steven's story first surfaced she is asking for her kidney back.
