Don’s Wholesale Automotive Group to donate $20,000 to Flood Victims

Lafayette, LA- Don’s Wholesale Automotive Group announced that they will be assisting families around Acadiana that have been affected by the flood.

Several employees of the local dealership have been severely affected by the flooding. Saleswoman at POSH Preowned and owner of Dark Roux, Kaitlyn Guillory Trahan whose home was flooded said in a post on Facebook, “...We are overwhelmed with the amount of LOVE that we have been SHOWN! Friends and family have stopped their lives to BE THERE for us!”

Since then, the wholesale automotive retailer has decided to extend a hand to the community.

“Acadiana is our home and this community is our family. To have the opportunity to be able to bless those who were less fortunate in such a time of need is truly an honor for us.” said Danielle Mendoza, owner of POSH Preowned.

The 20-year-old car dealership is encouraging Facebook users to share the stories of families that have been affected by the flood, or even stories of their own. Don’s Wholesale Automotive Group together with its subsidiary, POSH Preowned, will bless 20 families with donations of $1000 per family.

These families could have sustained any sort of damages as a result of the flood, whether it was to their homes, vehicles, property, or others.

24-hours since Don’s Wholesale shared their intentions to bless families who were affected by the flood, their Facebook post has already received over 200 comments, and has been shared over 700 times. Several people have even sent private messages to Don’s Wholesale to protect the privacy of some families.

The truck superstore is overwhelmed by the amount of responses they received. With that, Don’s Wholesale is urging other businesses and organizations to join them in giving back, so that more families can receive financial relief. Don’s Wholesale also shared a verse to uplift spirits of a community who was taken by storm, "When you go through deep waters, I will be with you," Isaiah 43:2.

With over 600 vehicles in their inventory, Don’s Wholesale is willing to go the extra mile to deliver vehicles to the nearest accessible location for those in need of a rental.
