A word of advice as you are scrolling through Facebook: Don't click on the "Lafayette Terror Attack" story, as it is spam.

The cover photo features a Lafayette City Police vehicle in front of the Grand Theater on Johnston Street, which could easily entice locals to click the story.

The story itself is written in a fashion that allows it to have happened in any city, as it doesn't give specifics.

As a matter of fact, on the website's "Recent Posts" section, the EXACT SAME STORY is printed under headlines featuring different cities.

Even Snopes weighed in on the posts.  It's all a scam to get advertiser's information in front of your eyes.  Do yourself a favor by not clicking on it.  If you do click on it, do the rest of us a favor by not sharing it.
