It's going to take some time for the complete demolition of the dorms, but the activity is in full swing, and if you were used to seeing those buildings while driving on campus, the scenery has changed.

Women who once lived in the Rose Garden dorms on the UL Lafayette campus can now buy a piece of history. Evangeline Hall, Baker-Huger Hall, and Bonin Hall are being demolished to make way for new ones.

Commemorative bricks can be purchased for a hundred dollars. Each brick will bear a plate with the names of the dorms and their operational dates.

UL is changing very quickly with the addition of new dorms.  Three dorms that were used for years to house students are being demolished to make way for newer, state-of-the-art rooms.
