DOTD says it will close the left lane of U.S. West at the railroad overpass in Broussard will be closed from 7:00pm until Midnight Monday, April 20th. Oversized loads will not be allowed to pass through this work zone but will have detours available.

The lane closure is necessary for crews to install temporary sheet piles. Of course all construction is weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather.

The work is part of the Geaux South program, current work is related to the $57.1 million design-build project that involves widening U.S. 90 to six lanes from Albertson Parkway north to the Ambassador Caffery intersection.
