As part of the widening of US 90 in Broussard to six lanes the Department of Transportation and Development will close the northbound left lane of the railroad overpass Sunday, January 4 from 7:00am until 6:00pm and again Monday January 5th and Tuesday January 6th from 8:00pm until 6:00am. These closures are necessary for crews to install temporary sheet piles to prepare for the actual construction of new, wider overpass. Oversized loads will not be permitted in the work zone and alternate routes will include LA 89, LA 182, LA 352 and LA 31. All work is contingent on weather conditions.

This work is part of the Geaux South Project, a $3 billion project to convert 160 miles of US 90 to interstate standards.
