With the gas tax being debated in the Louisiana Legislature during this session, KPEL's Rob Kirkpatrick and Bernadette Lee sit down with DOTD Transportation Secretary Shawn Wilson about why he believes the gas tax should be raised.

They also discussed the current 16-cent gas tax and what the money has paid and continues to pay for. They also discussed the claim put out by opponents of the gas tax hike that 11% of the state budget is being used for roads and bridges.
