Dow Begins Week In The Red – Acadiana Business Index

Markets finished in the red, albeit off of their worst levels. Ken Meyers has the latest on Wall Street in Monday’s Acadiana Business Index.

- The Dow Jones Industrial Average gave up 103 points to 12,926 after being down as many as 183 points in early action.
- The S&P 500 shed 12 points to 1367 and the Nasdaq lost 30 points to finish at 2970.
- Stocks traded lower throughout the session after a contraction in Chinese and Eurozone manufacturing heightened concerns over global growth.
- In other news, shares of Wal-Mart fell $2.91 to $59.54 after the company announced it would investigate allegations that Walmex representatives bribed government officials in Mexico.
