Dow Sees First Gain In Six Sessions – Acadiana Business Index

  • The Dow Industrial Average was up 19 points to 12,855 for its first gain in six sessions.
  • In economic news,  encouraging economic data and a positive development in Europe prompted a market rally.
  • Jobless claims fell to a one-month low last week.
  • Hopes for a breakthrough in Greece’s political impasse also emerged to aid the market as another party attempted to form a coalition goverment. Almost all sectors were higher as a result of this tone.
