Downtown Lafayette Restaurant Damaged By Fire

It was a rough night for Agave Restaurant on Vermilion as a fire in a trash can caused some damage to the restaurant.

Firefighters put the fire on the rear entrance patio out very fast, but there was damage to the area near the rear entrance door.  The restaurant will be closed until things are repaired.  Firefighters say the fire was most likely cause by an improperly discarded cigarette.
