Dr. Jill Waggoner Disagrees With Drinking While Pregnant Research
Joining 'Mornings With Ken & Bernie' today family physician Dr. Jill Waggoner says she strongly disagrees with recent Danish research. That Danish research indicates children of women who drink a moderate amount during pregnancy suffer no ill effects.
Waggoner said,
"When I saw that research I said 'what'? For years and years I've been saying to my patients "no drinking during pregnancy at all". That hasn't changed for me."
According to Dr. Waggoner the study gives a pregnant woman reassurance that her baby is safe if the woman had a drink or a glass of wine before she found out she was pregnant.
