The AFC defeated the NFC 20-13 in the NFL's Pro Bowl Sunday night in Orlando, an All-Star game that an increasing number of star players choose not to play in.

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees isn't one of them, playing in his 10th Pro Bowl, throwing the only touchdown the NFC scored all night.

“I take it as a great honor to be chosen, to be in that conversation, in the mix, to be chosen for the Pro Bowl," Brees said earlier this week. He was selected as a Pro Bowl alternate after Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan couldn't play in the game on account of the Saints rival making it to Super Bowl LI.

On the longest scoring play of the game, Brees hooked up with wide open Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin on a 47 yard touchdown in the 2nd quarter, tying a lackluster exhibition game at 7. He also threw a costly interception that killed an NFC drive.

A crowd of just over 60,000 watched a record 37 replacement Pro Bowl players out of 88 in the game.

The NFL outgained the AFC by over 100 yards, finished even in the turnover battle and gained 7 more first downs, but it wasn't enough.

Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett stuck to a boring offense in a boring contest, despite the offensive firepower that comes with an all-star team.

The end of the Pro Bowl marks the beginning of Super Bowl week.

Atlanta faces the New England Patriots in Houston on Sunday in Super Bowl LI. Kickoff is set for 5:30.
