Driver Faces Charges In Pedestrian’s Death
HOUMA, La. (AP) — A 45-year-old Houma man is facing negligent homicide charges in connection with the death of a pedestrian.
State police say Brian Michael Daigle was booked in the death of 39-year-old Polly Manor of Houma. Manor was walking on the shoulder of Bayou Dularge Road in the Crozier community on April 26 when she was struck by a pickup. She died at the scene.
The Courier reports Daigle was not injured.
Troopers say Daigle veered to the right and out of his lane after looking at his cellphone to receive a call.
