You can see from the drone video how severe the flooding is at the intersection of HWY 90 and HWY 92 in Broussard. It would appear as though at least one driver didn't heed the numerous warnings to not venture into water that was over the roadway because of the dangers. As you can see, there is an abandoned car sitting in the middle of the flood water on HWY 92. Hopefully, the occupants of that vehicle made it out safely, albeit on foot.

Rob Perillo and Dave Baker in the StormTeam 3 Weather Lab say parts of Acadiana could see several more inches of rain before the day ends on Saturday, which will only add to an already awful situation for people who have seen water in their homes or water threatening their homes.

Thanks to Chris Blanchard from Lafayette for sending this to us. The next video is from different perspectives, but it gives you a sense of how much water there was in that area. Even those of us who are familiar with that part of Acadiana will find it hard to recognize!

Please, everyone, stay safe. Don't drive on water-covered roadways. Turn around. Don't drown!
