Drug Charges Headline St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Arrest Report

6 people show up on the arrest report from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office. Drug violations are the main charges of those arrested. Deputies say they responded to 39 complaints over the last 24 hour reporting period.

The Narcotics Division:

Rickey Gable , 27, 312 Easy Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on April 7, 2016 at 4:26 pm for possession of a firearm by a person convicted of certain felonies.

Sedrick Rudolph , 31, 434 Gum Point Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on April 7, 2016 at 4:01 pm for possession of a firearm by a person convicted of certain felonies.

The K-9 unit conducting a traffic stop on Highway 90 in Bayou Vista made contact with the driver as well as two passengers in the vehicle identified as Gable and Rudolph. The deputy received consent to search the vehicle and located a handgun that was found within reach of the two passengers. The deputy also found that both Gable and Rudolph are convicted felons. Both suspects were transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Lavonte Jones , 22, 326 Easy Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on April 7, 2016 at 6:09 pm for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and stop sign violation.

Cedric Kemp , 24, 140 Baker Road, Franklin, LA was arrested on April 7, 2016 at 6:09 pm for possession of marijuana.
Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division patrolling Franklin observed a vehicle fail to come to a complete stop at a stop sign on Hospital Avenue and conducted a traffic stop. Detectives spoke with the driver, Jones, and the passenger, Kemp. During the traffic stop investigation, detectives located marijuana on Kemp's person and marijuana and rolling papers on Jones. Both suspects were released on summonses to appear in court on July 25, 2016.

Terrance Robinson , 18, 423 Seventh Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on April 7, 2016 at 6:49 pm for possession of marijuana. Narcotics detectives patrolling Franklin saw a male subject sitting outside of a residence on Ninth Street. Detectives then observed that subject saw them, reached into his pocket, retrieved a bag of marijuana, and threw it to the ground. Detectives stopped their patrol unit and made contact with the person, identified as Robinson. Detectives retrieved the marijuana and a marijuana cigarette. Robinson was released on a summons to appear in court on July 25, 2016.

From the Patrol Division:

Robin Thibodeaux , 58, 1204 Saturn Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on April 7, 2016 at 8:22 pm for violation of the parish leash law. A deputy responded to an animal complaint on Saturn Road. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Thibodeaux’s dog was running loose. Thibodeaux was released on a summons to appear in court on July 25, 2016.
