Durel Says City Parish Comprehensive Plan Taking Shape

On Lafayette Live today City-Parish President Joey Durel said he was very pleased with the turnout at this week’s open forum seeking input for the Lafayette Consolidated Government’s comprehensive plan.  According to Durel, people are leaving the forum’s with renewed enthusiasm.

Durel said some people who seem to enter the forum with a chip on their shoulder “are leaving feeling much better about the comprehensive plan”.   Many people are expressing a renewed respect for the democratic process.

Mr. Durel stated that the purpose of the comprehensive plan is to improve Lafayette City-Parish and not just change it.
