Lafayette City Parish President Joey Durel was answering questions about his proposed budget which council members are answering questions about during their annual budget hearings.

Durel and one caller were talking to each other during another edition of "Lafayette Live", but the tone did get a little warmer as the caller wanted to know why the amount of the budget had changed.  Durel explained that primarily sales tax and property tax changes are the reasons why.  If you would like to see budget information you can check out http://www.lafayettela.gov
