Duson police are asking for the public's assistance in locating a missing 34-year-old man whose family's concern is growing.

Duson Police Chief Kip Judice reported Jason Paul Felix was last seen Sunday, Dec. 27 near the intersection of Pinhook Road and the Youngsville Hwy. (La. 89).

Felix is described as a black male weighing 130 pounds, 5-feet-7-inches tall, with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing blue jean shorts and a gray sweatshirt.

Judice said Felix's family is concerned about his mental state as the Lafayette Parish Coroner has ordered a mental evaluation for the missing man.

His family expressed concerns that Felix, who has few resources at his disposal, lacks adequate clothing for the cold weather and little money to spend on food or shelter.

Judice is urging anyone who may have come in contact with Jason Felix over the past seven days to please contact the Duson Police Department or Jason Felix’s family.

Anyone with information concerning Felix’s whereabouts are asked to contact their local police or the Duson Police at (337) 236-5895.
