Duson Man Arrested For Incest

29-year-old Jerry James McLaren of Duson has been sent to jail for incest.  That after Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Deputies were notified that he had pictures of himself engaging in sexual conduct with a 9-year-old relative.

They were originally found on Saturday when the mother of the child reportedly found the photographs while looking through McLaren's cell phone.  Deputies followed up by seeing the pictures themselves and interviewing the victim, which supported the allegations of aggravated incest.

Officers say that they were able to track down McLaren on Pecan Grove in Lafayette on Tuesday and he was taken into custody and booked at the parish jail.

Bond has not been set for the charge.  Deputies say that they are continuing the investigation and that they expect to make additional charges against McLaren.
