Duson Man Dead After Traffic Crash

Lafayette Police responded to a traffic crash on Cameron Street around 11 last night to find a Duson man dead in a single car crash.

Traffic investigators says a Chevy pickup was westbound on Cameron Street, when the driver lost control, ran off the roadway and hit a utility pole.

54-year-old Wilton John Hamilton of Duson was pronounced dead at the scene.  Police are working to figure out what caused Hamilton to drive off of the raodway.
