An argument turns deadly over the weekend.

Lafayette Parish Sheriff spokesman Capt. Craig Stansbury says late Saturday night, Todd Lemaire went visit Perry Alleman at his home on 818 3rd St. in Duson. According to witnesses, an argument broke out between the two, and a 23-year-old man intervened and grabbed Lemaire as he was allegedly advancing towards Alleman. But Alleman allegedly had already grabbed a gun and fired one shot, hitting the 23-year-old in the hand and Lemaire in the chest.

Lemaire died while the other victim received treatment at the hospital.

Alleman has been arrested on one count of manslaughter and one count of aggravated battery and sits in jail on a $100,000 bond.
