DWI Checkpoint In Calcasieu Parish Pulls In Drunk Drivers

The State Police Troopers put on a checkpoint over the weekend on highway 26 in Jeff Davis Parish on Saturday.

The checkpoint yielded some results with five DWI arrests.

On top of the DWI arrests, three open alcohol container citations were issued, two for no child restraint, two for no drivers license, four for expired inspection stickers,and more.

The State Troopers want to remind everyone that the Click It or Ticket campaign is going on and be sure to buckle up each time you drive your car, no matter how far.
