BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Secretary of State Tom Schedler reminds voters that early voting for special legislative elections begin Saturday.

Four parishes — East Baton Rouge, Iberia, Rapides and Vermilion — have elections to fill vacant legislative seats, while Evangeline Parish is hosting a mayoral race in the Village of Turkey Creek.

The early voting period runs through Saturday, Feb. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., excluding Sunday. Those who want to vote early may do so in person at their parish Registrar of Voters Office or at other designated locations.
