Former Governor Edwin Edwards has completed his house arrest, signed his final papers and is a free man after more than 10 years of incarceration. His biographer, Leo Honeycutt, says the former Governor is going to have a party to celebrate in New Orleans on July 30th. But before that, Honeycutt says he and The Silver Fox will be embarking on a state-wide book tour together starting July 16th in Baton Rouge. Honeycutt says Edwards is in a very good mood and is looking forward to his very packed social calendar.

He says Edwards bought a house in Ascension Parish and is moving in today. Edwards turns 84 in August.  Honeycutt says Edwards still has three years of probation.
