Former Governor Edwin Edwards and his biographer Leo Honeycutt will embark on a statewide book tour starting this weekend in Baton Rouge.Edwards says he always wanted to write a book about his unusual yet significant life. He says he was surprised at how many people bought the book and showed a genuine interest. Edwards says that compiling the book took over six years of research.

Huge crowds are anticipated at the book signing events and Edwards says he feels like he came out of prison more popular than when he went in. He says the book takes you from his life starting out as a poor cajun boy, to the Governor who served four terms in Louisiana.
