Eight Cajuns Earn All-Louisiana Baseball Team Honors

The Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun baseball season may be over, but the team continues earn accolades. Today, the All-Louisiana College Baseball Team as selected by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association was announced, and the Cajuns were very well represented.

In fact, half of the first-team honors were Ragin' Cajuns, while the other 7 first-team honorees were members of the LSU Tigers.

Ragin' Cajuns Austin Robichaux (pitcher), Michael Strentz (catcher), Tyler Girouard (third base), Seth Harrison (outfield), Dex Kjerstad (outfield), Caleb Adams (designated hitter) and Ryan Leonards (utility) were first-team members, while Blake Trahan, the Sun Belt Conference freshmen of the year, represented the Cajuns on the second team.

Kjerstad was also honored as the Newcomer of the Year for first-year Louisiana non-freshman players.
