Some of us in Acadiana will be heading to the polls tomorrow to choose a candidate for some offices, and others to vote on proposals, or both.  Here is a breakdown of what will be on the ballot tomorrow in each parish:

ACADIA:

School Board, District 5

EVANGELINE PARISH:

Turkey Creek Police Chief Proposition
Shall the Mayor of the Village of Turkey Creek, with the approval of the Turkey Creek Village Council, be authorized to appoint a marshal who is the Chief of Police for the Village of Turkey Creek?

IBERIA PARISH:

School Board, District 4
Thomas Jolivet (Democrat)
Zebulon "Zeb" Simon (Democrat)

Iberia Parish Levee, Hurricane and Conservation District Proposition (Millage)
Shall the Iberia Parish Levee, Hurricane and Conservation District (the "District"), levy a five (5) mills tax on all the property subject to taxation in the District (an estimated $2,200,000 reasonably expected at this time to be collected from the levy of the tax for an entire year), for a period of thirty (30) years, beginning with the year 2013 and ending with the year 2042, for the purpose of construction, acquisition, maintenance, operation and extension and/or improvement of levees, hurricane protection and drainage within the District?

Sales Tax District No. 1 Proposition (Sales Tax)
Shall Sales Tax District No. 1 of the Parish of Iberia, State of Louisiana (the "District"), be authorized to levy and collect a tax of one-half of one percent (0.50%) (the "Tax") upon the sale at retail, the use, the lease or rental, the consumption, and storage for use or consumption, of tangible personal property and on sales of services in the District, all as defined by law (an estimated $6,250,000 reasonable expected to be collected from the levy of the tax for an entire year), for a period of thirty (30) years, commencing July 1, 2013, with the avails and proceeds of the Tax (after paying reasonable and necessary costs and expenses of collecting and administering the Tax) to be dedicated and used in accordance with a local services agreement between the District and the Iberia Parish Levee, Hurricane Protection and Conservation District (the "Levee District"), said agreement providing for the transfer of said avails and proceeds of the Tax to the Levee District pursuant to the terms thereof, for the exclusive purpose of funding the construction, acquisition, maintenance, operation, extension and/or improvement of levees, hurricane protection and drainage in the Levee District?
