Embattled VA Head To Address Veterans Group
WASHINGTON (AP) — Embattled Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric Shinseki (shin-SEHK'-ee) plans this morning to address a homeless veterans group as he faces calls to resign from both Republicans and Democrats in Congress.
Support for Shinseki is eroding because of the escalating scandal about problems in the VA's nationwide health care system.
Shinseki's speech is before the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans.
