NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Entergy Corp. says 50-year-old Phillip May Jr. will be the next chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer of two subsidiaries.

The utility company said Tuesday that he will succeed 53-year-old William Mohl in those positions for both Entergy LouisianaLLC and Entergy Gulf States LouisianaLLC.

On Feb. 1, Mohl is to become president of Entergy Wholesale Commodities.

May has worked for Entergy for 26 years, and has been vice president of regulatory services for Entergy's utility business since 2002. In that position, he dealt with rate design and administration, regulatory accounting and strategy in all five of Entergy's retail regulatory jurisdictions.
