UPDATE: Victim Of Vermilion Parish Shooting Identified

(UPDATE) -- Police have identified the victim of a Monday night shooting in Vermilion Parish.

Police reportedly told KATC TV-3 that 27-year-old Steven Jude Michael Gautreaux of Erath was shot and killed by 36-year-old Randall Charles Lowery.

Lowery was arrested Tuesday morning in connection with the shooting.

Police are withholding the motive for the fight between Gautreaux and Lowery until they complete their investigation, KATC reported.

(Sept. 10, 2013) -- Vermilion Parish authorities have arrested an Erath man on charges he allegedly shot and killed another man.

Randall Charles Lowery was arrested by the sheriff's office at about 2:15 Tuesday morning.

Police said Lowery fatally shot Stephen Cautreaux.

Lowery is charged with manslaughter and is being held on a $150,000 bond.

No other information about the case could be revealed because the investigation is ongoing.
