Escaped Fugitive Caught In Lafayette

An escaped fugitive is now back behind bars. Deputies in Iberia Parish say Lee M. Fowler was captured in Lafayette just after 9 p.m. last night. He had been arrested for kidnapping Monday, but escaped when officers brought him to the patrol center for questioning. Fowler will be booked into the Iberia Parish Jail.
