Authorities have announced the arrest of three family members for fraudulently getting prescriptions drugs and then selling them.

The Drug Enforcement Agency notified the Eunice Police Department last October that there was such a drug operation going on in their town.

Law Enforcement officials say the drug operation was run by Barry Bordelon, his wife Theresa Bordelon and their son Barry Bordelon II.

Several law enforcement agencies teamed up to investigate the Bordelon family.  They allege that the family would fill forge prescriptions for drugs and then sell them.  They say the three are responsible for forging prescriptions for Carisoprodol 120 times, Alprazolam 60 times, and Hydrocodone 30 times at local pharmacies.

Barry Bordelon was booked on the following charges:

  • six counts of obtaining by fraud
  • conspiracy
  • possession with intent

Theresa Cortina Bordelon faces:

  • nine counts of obtaining by fraud
  • conspiracy
  • possession with intent

Barry Bordelon II will face the following charges:

  • nine counts of fraud
  • conspiracy
  • possession
