Eunice Man Arrested For Causing Disturbance In Hospital Emergency Room

EUNICE, La. (KPEL) -- Police arrested a man at Acadian Medical Center after he allegedly caused a disturbance in the emergency room.

Deputy Chief Varden Guillory with the Eunice Police Department says 24-year-old Gregory Thomas was waiting for a family member in the waiting area when he started threatening staff.

According to witnesses, Thomas yelled "You don't know who you're dealing with!"

As staff tried to guide him back to the waiting area, he allegedly shoved a nurse and forced himself back into the emergency room.

Guillory says Thomas apologized to responding officers for losing his temper, but he was still arrested and booked on a charge of disturbing the peace.
