Eunice Man Faces Attempted Murder Charges

A Eunice man is arrested after allegedly trying to kill a woman and her two children.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz says it happened Wednesday in Eunice. Sheriff Guidroz says investigators found that 33-year-old Breezie James Martel threatened the woman's life with a knife. Guidroz says Martel then chased him in his vehicle after the victims were able to get away.

Martel has been booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail on three counts of attempted 2nd degree murder and three counts of aggravated assault and simple battery involving domestic violence. No bond has been set at this time.
