Eunice Man Indicted In His Wife’s Stabbing Death
A St. Landry Parish grand jury has indicted 35-year-old Robert Lee Heard Jr. on a first-degree murder charge after police say he was responsible for the stabbing death of his wife, Demetra in September.
Police say at the time Mrs. Heard was killed, the two had only been married about two months. Authorities says the woman was murdered on about September 14th.
Police say the woman was found dead at her home in Eunice.
Robert Heard was arrested in the death of 35-year-old Demetra after a high-speed police chase in Shreveport, where he had allegedly gone to after the death of his wife.
