An arrest in a hit and run crash leads to a convicted sex offender getting caught with the woman's child.

Eunice Police say the accident happened in the 600 block of West Walnut Avenue. The victim and a witness described the Ford Crown Victoria that the suspect, 31-year-old Tina Durgon of Eunice, allegedly drove away in after hitting the victim's truck.

Police say Durgon eventually came back to the scene in the vehicle in the suspected vehicle. She told police that she left the scene to pick up her paperwork and documents for her car. She was then arrested for hit and run and reckless operation. She later bonded out from the Eunice Police Department.

While she was in the booking area, Durgon told police that someone needed to check on her child at home since school was letting out. When police got to her house, they say they found the convicted sex offender, 25-year-old Kennen Sinegal of Eunice, there with the boy.

Police say they noticed Sinegal's ID card issued from the State of Louisiana had been altered. Durgon was then arrested again after police say she admitted to altering the ID card by coloring over the area where "Sex Offender" was placed on the card.

Durgon was charged with injuring public records and improper supervision of a minor by a parent. Sinegal was arrested and charged with maintaining false public records, unlawful presence of a sex offender and Duty to notify law enforcement on change of address. He became a sex offender after being convicted of 2nd degree criminal sexual conduct on February 4, 2005, in Michigan.

Durgon has since bonded out of jail ($4,000.00) after she was re-arrested. Sinegal still sits in the Eunice City Jail on a $6000.00 bond.
