EUNICE, La. (KPEL) -- The owner of a BMW had her vehicle impounded for a second time after she was again arrested on multiple drug charges.

According to Deputy Chief Varden Guillory with the Eunice Police Dept., 39-year-old Mike Dupre was pulled over after she failed to stop at a stop sign.

The officer asked Dupre for her registration and proof of insurance, but she couldn't provide that, Guillory said. She claimed she was insured with Progressive Auto Insurance, but a quick call to company showed her coverage expired in May 2012.

"The officer noted that the driver, Mike Dupre, was extremely nervous and wouldn't keep still so he asked her to exit the vehicle," Guillory said.

Officers searched Dupre's car using a K-9 and discovered four plastic baggies, two of which contained suspected crystal meth, Guillory said.

Dupre was arrested on charges of possession with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, no insurance, and stop sign violation.

The BMW had previously been seized in 2011, Guillory said, after she was arrested on multiple drug charges.
