Gulf Brew 2017
Acadiana Center for the Arts will host the 10th Anniversary Gulf Brew Saturday, July 22nd at Blackham Coliseum from 5pm-9pm. Preceding the event from 4pm-5pm, the VIP Tasting Event will take place for beer connoisseurs and dedicated festival goers alike.
Tickets for the event go on sale June 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Purchases can be made online by visiting DoTheBrew.org or by calling the AcA at 337-233-7060. Taster tickets are $35 pre-purchase and $45 at the door. Designated driver tickets for non-drinkers are $15 both pre-purchase and at the door. Tickets for the VIP Tasting Event are $80 and include early tasting access, live music, and a VIP lounge with food, specialty beers and more.
Gulf Brew hosts over 3,000 guests and receives incredible sponsorship from local business. Celebrating its 10 year anniversary, we’re adding more bands, more hours, and of course, more brew than 2016. Gulf Brew 2017 goers can expect over 200 beers, 100 more than in previous years, three bands, and an optional, but suggested, VIP Tasting Event an hour before the festival officially opens. In 2016, AcA moved Gulf Brew back to the summer and inside of Blackham Coliseum. Proving to be “Christmas in July” for beer lovers, the event is staying inside of the air-conditioned venue with events like the “Home Brew Demo” happening outside, spreading the layout for more beer drinkers to enjoy.
Funds from Gulf Brew support AcA’s mission of Fostering Art & Culture in Acadiana. The festival directly impacts artist outreach projects, educational programs and summer camps, visual art exhibits, community development projects, and grant making abilities.
