Suicide is a real problem in Louisiana, and it is on the rise. The annual report by the United Health Foundation shows Louisiana's suicide rate at 15.6% per 100,000 people, or one every 12 hours.
Money raised from this event will go to fund research, education, policy, and support for survivors.
