Additional Information

On Saturday, March 3rd, more than 90 artists and craftsmen will set up in the Shadows Gardens for the Spring Shadows-on-the-Teche Arts and Crafts Fair.   Vendors from all around the state and out of state will exhibit and sell their original work including paintings on slate, hand-dyed clothing, painted porcelain, wooden toys, embroidered baby clothes, pen & ink drawings, soybean candles & soaps, cypress carvings, porch swings, whimsical metal garden art, and much, much more.

We will have a special guest vendor—Mr. Emmanuel Asare from Ghana—who will have his string art pictures on display.  Mr. Asare was with us a year ago we are happy to have him at the Shadows again at the March event.

Admission to the fair is $3.00 per person and your wristband is good for the whole day! Raffle tickets will be sold to win items donated by the vendors.  In addition to the wonderful art and unique crafts, there will be vendors selling delicious sandwiches and tasty pies if you need a break while you check out all the items on display.  Come enjoy the day with your family and friends while supporting local artists, craftsmen and the beautiful Shadows-on-the-Teche.

The Shadows is located at 317 East Main Street in New Iberia. Tours of this National Historic Landmark will be available for an additional cost.  All funds raised will help with preservation maintenance at Shadows-on-the-Teche.
