AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — The evolution debate has now engulfed the Texas Board of Education, which is refusing to approve a biology text book it says could contain factual errors. Board members say there are about 20 concerns in the textbook by Pearson Education, one of America's largest publishers.

Most of those concerns pertain to the theory of evolution.

The board says it will have outside experts further scrutinize the book.
