Ex-Boyfriend Arrested In Lafayette Drive-by Shooting

30-year-old Mark Handy of Lafayette has been booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center after he allegedly shot at his ex-girlfriend on Mother's Day.

The victim told Lafayette Police it began when Handy drove near her home in the 1200 block block of Eighth Street and got into a verbal altercation with her, then drove away but came a short time later, allegedly firing a pistol in her direction six times. Officers say Handy was later arrested in the 600 block of Orchid Drive.

The victim was not injured in the incident.

Police continue to investigate.
