Ex Cop Found Guilty Of Raping Young Girl

A former cop has been found guilty of raping a six-year-old girl. David Lewellen was a patrol officer and corrections officer in Lafourche Parish.

He confessed to investigators of raping the child over a nine month period. Lewellen is now in the Concordia Parish jail to await sentencing in January. He's there instead of in Lafourche Parish in order to avoid contact with former co-workers.
